Just-In

NBC has just made official the names of the last four hosts for Saturday Night Live. These names are Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Justin Timberlake, and Will Ferrell. Special musical guest is rumored to be Ciara for the Justin-centric episode. Can't wait to see him again because he always brings sexy back, I mean, something new :)

Obama brings good news to NBC again

CBS won the night when referring to numbers, but NBC won both 18-49 and 18-34 demos. With no Idol on FOX, yesterday night was a strange Tuesday night. ABC, CBS, and NBC practically had the same numbers at 9pm after Obama's speech. At 8pm, on the other hand, all networks practically tied, except NBC which was the best, on 18-34 numbers. Interesting fact that young people are so spread :)

XOXO...Monday's ratings again

I remember I said last week that 24 audience was very regular all along the season. Well, yesterday, without a new House led-in, 24 dropped to 10.33 million viewers and 3.2 in the demos (anyway, nothing to worry about).
NBC, on the other hand, should worry because Heroes numbers are worse every week. Two weeks ago, the last time there was a new episode, Heroes averaged 6.63 million and a 3.2/8 and this time went to 6.48 2.9/7.
Last week's Gossip Girl episode was great but NegativeNatalie said this week's was going to be much better. The ratings were worse but, anyway...I can't wait to see it!!!

Which demo would you prefer? 18-49 or 18-34? Well, FOX took the 18-34 while CBS took 18-49. Anyqay, NBC's Kings are not a success...so bad...

Gran Torino

How is it possible that this movie was not even nominated for the Oscars??? I mean, you don't want to make it a winner....OK...but not even nominated? I know Slumdog Millionaire is a great movie (I was the first one to be a fan of it) but, what about the rest? I haven't seen them yet but, Gran Torino's script is brilliant in my opinion. But I guess it's just that, my opinion.

Friday not that bad (updated)

From American Ryan

Everyone was expecting a Dollhouse KO, but it didn't happen that way. Dollhouse performed more or less as it did last week. What's more TSCC even improved its numbers, though it was 3rd on the raking. We'll have to wait for the Battlestar Galactica numbers on SciFi to see if people really like Science Fiction or it really is a bad genre for TV.

**Updated:SciFi ordered up a special overnight for the finale of Battlestar Galactica and James Hibberd says the two hour and eleven minute finale averaged 2.4 million viewers and was the most watched episode since its season 2.5 premiere

Commander-in-chief

An appearance by President Barack Obama, a first for a sitting president, delivered the highest Tonight Show rating in metered market households since the program’s tribute to Johnny Carson in Jan. 2005. The Tonight Show delivered an 11.2/26 rating Thursday, tying the Carson tribute and improving upon its season average by 187%. The last time The Tonight Show drew a higher metered market rating was May, 1998, following the Seinfeld series finale, when it drew a 12.4.

The show was the fourth highest rated metered market household rating in the 16 years Leno has been hosting the program. The only nights topping it were Leno’s first night hosting in May, 1992, the night of the Cheers finale in May, 1993 and the night of the Seinfeld finale.

It seems that when CBS has no CSI, Grey's Anatomy gets better numbers but...this week Grey's Anatomy couldn't improve too much. And they sooo far away of the 27 million viewers they got some seasons ago... Anyway, it's a great succes (the best show in demos for ABC) and I guess we'll see more of Seattle Grace for some years.
