It's 9 p.m. FOX executives are worried about who will be eliminated from American Idol tonight, but more worried to see its ratings the next day. Almost 12 hours later, sitting in their chairs in a spacious office they rest as they see that Idol performed well with 23.71 million viewers and a 8.1/21 among adults 18-49. Although Lie to Me did a good but below average 2.6/ 8 among adults 18-49 with 8.98 million viewers, they are satisfied with their 5.4 rating/15 share and 16.34 million viewers average of the night.

But let's go back to 9 p.m. again...CBS executives are worried too. While watching a new American Idol episode, one of them feels guilty and change the channel to see its own network. But he realizes that the episode of Criminal Minds they are airing its a repeat, so he goes back to Idol. The next morning, while watching the ratings, that is, 9.95 million viewers and 2.4/ 6, he remembers what he did last night and wonders how many people did the same he did.

On the other hand, Lost producers were not watching TV. They were just drinking some daiquiris lying and wondering what the hell they can do to end one of the best series in history. Its 9 a.m. now, a bit of hung-over because of the daiquiris and...no worries at all for the ratings of Lost as they have made sure to get it renewed for its last season. Just in case you are worried about Lost ratings, 9.35 million viewers and 4.2/11 in adults 18-49.

9 p.m. again. A rope is lying from the ceiling, a black shadow walks towards it. One moment...it seems he is trying to kill himself!!
